The Mackinaw is an online journal of prose poetry, founded by Lorette C. Luzajic, founding editor of The Ekphrastic Review.
Many writers and readers declare prose poetry the most delicious of all poetry, and yet others say it doesn't even exist.
The objective of The Mackinaw is simple: to celebrate prose poetry, in the present as well as its history and its future, and provide a space to publish, read, and discuss this wonderful genre.
The Mackinaw is a bimonthly publication, with new issues on the 15th of every other month. The first issue launched on January 15, 2024.
