In some circumstances, whether or not the material qualifies as "prose poetry" is up for debate. Of course, from its inception, there has been a debate over whether prose poetry exists at all. Our editorial response to the question, "What is a prose poem?" is simple. It is poetry in prose form. There is no either/or here: a prose poem is poetry AND prose.
